Welcome!

This is the blog of the Parish of Chambersbury.

We look forward to welcoming newcomers and visitors!

We are three churches with one mission:

St Mary's, Apsley End
Holy Trinity, Leverstock Green
St Benedict's, Bennetts End

St Mary's Notices

The house groups have been thinking about what makes a healthy church, specifically in relation to St Mary’s. When the groups finish, before Christmas, there will be feedback for the congregation as to what the outcome of the groups is.
This year in place of the Christingle Services there will be a Crib Service on Christmas Eve at 3.00pm. This is an act of worship in which children will take part and the Christmas story will be told. No tickets will be necessary for this service.
Charitable Giving - The DCC has decided that this year’s charitable giving should be by means of a direct collection in church one Sunday. On Sunday 9th December there was a retiring collection at all the services for DENS and Dacorum Rent Aid. Around £650 was raised.
A copy of the Child Protection policy etc is always available for inspection in the vestry of each church. Sue Jakeman is the child protection co-ordinator for St Mary’s and any issues of concern should be referred to her.
News about Services - There is an 8.00am Eucharist on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays of the month. Starting in September there will be a Healing Eucharist at 6.30pm on the 1st Sunday of the month, except when there is another special service (for example Advent Sunday). Taizé services happen on an occasional basis.
